Looks like the Bears will lose this one...... Somerset need 35 with 6 wickets in hand and about 45 minutes play left.

The Unicorns are a side comprised of players who currently do not have a contract with a first class county side.

Taking my son to Headingley tomorrow to the 20/20 shenanigans. Only ever been to one hit and run before and said I wouldn't bother again but Billy asked if we could go. I'll make sure I remind him it's not proper cricket.

Having said that i'd still like to see Yorkshire crush the opponents who i've just discovered are Worcestershire.

Sure he'll enjoy it - hopefully they'll give him a 4/6 card to hold up.

Amazing exhibition of clinical T20 hitting by Scott Styris for Sussex against Gloucester last night, 100 off 37 balls including 38 off one over - including 2 free hits and a dot ball. It went like this (copy & paste from Cricinfo commentary):

17.1 Fuller to Styris, 6 no balls
17.1 Fuller to Styris, (no ball) FOUR
17.1 Fuller to Styris, SIX
17.2 Fuller to Styris, SIX
17.3 Fuller to Styris, FOUR
17.4 Fuller to Styris, no run
17.5 Fuller to Styris, FOUR
17.6 Fuller to Styris, SIX

It wasn't slogging, it was timing and a fair amount of power. Great to watch.

I watched the Styris explosion as well (although Prior had already softened up the Glos pace bowlers in the opening overs).

Glos actually gave a pretty good account of themselves in the chase but they had no chance really.

If you consider that the winning margin was 39 runs, the difference between the two sides was that one over. Gloucester did well to get as close as they did. 191 in T20 would win most games.
