Great stuff today by the Bears. There was never any chance of a result, but we managed 400 runs and 9 (so far) wickets to get maximum bonus points and go one point clear of Notts at the top, still with a game in hand.

WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE I SAID WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!

I've heard that David Sales has been told that he can leave Northants. Wouldn't mind him at Warks.

I'm not sure. A good county pro but he'll be 35 at the start of next season and is very injury prone.

He'd be good for a season or two.

I'd have a look at Garry Park who has been released by Derbyshire. Decent one day batsman and good in the field.

Warwick 27 for 1 at Stumps, I guess there was a bit of rain around?

It seems that wherever we play, the weather's always worse than wherever Nottinghamshire are playing.

No, don't declare. Only 3 wickets left so get as many runs as possible and then get the 20 wickets. I wouldn't want us to be batting by lunch mind. give it an hour or so.

Disagree. We need twenty wickets and it's bound to rain at some point plus (ludicrously) you can't make up time lost on Day Four. Gotta be bold to win Championships. Get 13 runs, declare, take twenty wickets, collect maximum points, go to pub. Hurrah!

It's supposed to rain for a lot of the day in Taunton today, so I think get to 400 and declare. Hopefully cloudy/damp conditions could help us take some quick wickets and there could be a game on. If pretty much a whole day is rained off, at least we might manage to get some bowling points.

Full batting points with an over to spare.

9 Down - may as well declare.
