...and yet another win, this time in the 40-overs! Top of two leagues, really fancy some silverware this year.

Back to second in the Championship after Notts beat Sussex.
A point behind with a game in hand, whatever happens in our game in hand we should be back on top very soon.
The 2 games against Notts in August and September could well decide the title.

For those with Sky, the Bears' 40 over game at Kent is being televised today. Starts at 4.40.

Kent game was a disaster, but it did show Duckworth/Lewis up as a bit of a farce, Kent's target was laughable, no chance that The Bears could defend that. D/L is prone to problems when early wickets are taken, it's too biased towards the bowling team and takes little notice of the fact that most teams bat well down the order these days. Be interested to see the proposal that India are coming up with as a possible replacement. We would probably have lost anyway, but it made the game a non-event.
Anyway, doing better today, 242/6 and have Derby down to 35/4 already.

Hadn't realised... Warwickshire's match at Glamorgan is on telly (in Welsh). Sky channel 134.
Currently rain stopped play but I think they're optimistic it could restart before too long.

...scratch that, it's pissing down.
Don't like the look of this cos even if they do get back on shortened matches always favour the side batting second. We're batting first. 90/2 off 12.

Duckworth Lewis doesn't work for T20, it doesn't take into account the fact that even a lower order batsman can smack a quick 20 off an over, which is fine in a 40 or 50 over match and can be factored into the equations, but in T20 it wins a match.

Is that Warwick's first win in the 20/20?
