Why would a player with the 'right attitude' and serious ambition want to sign for us? It's a vicious cycle. We'll end up signing more mercenaries this summer because nobody who has a will to succeed would want to come to play for us.

That's if we actually have any money to spend this year. Christ there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Another logical point, I would question any players motivation in making the decision to come and play for McLiesh

Take off Hutton and move Herd to RB and bring Gardner in the middle
Take off Lionel Heskey for Wiemman
Take off Albrighton and bring on Bannan

I'd go for that.

Nope as I said on the transfer thread, what do Villa offer at the moment? wage cutting, poor football, defeatism and low crowds. There is not much to entice anyone to come here.

I feel sorry for those who spent a fortune watching us home and away the last couple of seasons.

of all the decisions he could have made, Heskey up front and gabby on the wing is the stupidist thing he could have done, he said we need to share the goals around and then puts heskey up front, idiot

Bang on, and lets not forget that it was only hours ago when he released is rallying call saying players should support Gabby up front and he wanted more from midfield.

The guy has no game plan, he makes it up on the fly. clueless, if Lerner is watching this he has to act.

Aston Villa Football Club are incompetent and spineless right at the heart of the club from Lerner, Faulkner to McCluless.

And believe me, that's hurts to say but sadly, it's true.

This fixture is made for a counter-attacking approach, in the ol' MON style. Shame McLeish hasn't got a clue how to set up a counter-attacking team.

The *team talk* will be the same as always.   Hide in the corner and let the players scream at each other.   It's his way.

He can't set them up to defend so no hope of attacking.

Yep it will be, I predict 4 or 5 but that's fine with the board. We can't compete with the 'elite' clubs, moderate clubs or poor clubs. We sit in our group of one which is called 'abject surrender against all we come to play.'

This bloke makes O'Leary look decent.

Nah, I remember losing 5-0 at Highbury under O'Leary and it was worse than today (so far).

Why are people surprised that we start Heskey? He's on sixty grand a week so McLeish is going to get some use out of him before he packs his stuff and slopes off in May.

You have to feel sorry for the marketing team, trying to sell season tickets on the back of this shit.

Haven't even got the  light relief of The General being on here with his ridiculous bullshit.
