This could be the one that releases Dempsey to whereever he's going
" Eurobot: DONE DEAL - Dutch club  FC Twente have said that their young striker Chris David has joined Fulham.  "

dont think so. Fulham will be desperate to get rid , he was not going to play for Fulham again

West Ham end interest in Benayoun due to wage demands apparently. Can't see us getting him then if his wages are high.

But west ham have just taken on Andy Carrolls wages, maybe that is why?

My Fantasy League team is in a bit of a state, Ryan Taylor crocked last night, VDV leaving for Hamburg.

So is mine. Only because the players I picked aren't performing.

Sturridge is exactly the type of player we need. He can make something out of very little and we literally have nobody that can do that. N'Zogbia should have been that player but he'd find a dead end in a desert if you put a ball at his feet.

He's always struck me as a stroppy, self-centred fucker and given Lambert's comments about having the right attitude and the team being the important thing I wouldn't expect him to be on our radar.

I'd prefer Sturridge to Dempsey. We should go all out to get him.

As long as it's permanent and not on fooking loan, i'd agree with you. Dempsey was never going to come. We don't want another one who wouldn't want to be here anyway. We already have Ireland and N'Zog for that.

In terms of buying these young players, why not? Might take a bit longer to come to fruition but a good young squad growing together may well mean a good unified team in a couple of years. As long as Lambert can chuck out the shit ones along the way, and keep the scouting going, hopefully keep making astute young signings.
Back in the mists of time we had another manager just like that. And look at what he came up with.

Platt and Yorke spring to mind if you are talking about who i think you are talking about. Plus taking a chance on McGrath. If we could pull out 3 equivalents to those now to give us a new spine, we'd be in the champions league places.

I currently sit 15th out of 20 in my works fantasy football league, and 144,482nd overall in the Telegraphs League. Yes, I'm really that good!

Benayoun would have been good a few years back, but not any more.

If Lambert thinks this Stephens and Benteke are any good i trust him. If we finish the day with just those i would be happy. We won't go down, and as i say, with so many promising youngsters on the books and a manager with a good track record, i would be quite hopeful of something good being built in the longer term.

So according to Matt Kendrick we are looking at another midfielder if Charlton don't accept our latest bid for Stephenson.

You could say that about some of the best forwards in the world.  Still, as long as we get lots of hard-working selfless division 2 players in, we'll be OK.

Sorry, I'm talking about Mr. Saunders, who gave us some of the best kids ever to wear the Villa shirt. Little,Shaw and Cowans to name but three.
It took him almost 8 years to get the team he wanted and us fans showed a bit of patience.

It looked like a scene from Dawn of the Dead when they were just at Stoke on SSN.

Wouldn't Vic Crowe get the credit for first bringing Brian through?
