Replace 4th with 6th, and that provides an accurate description of another club.

If we dont get Dempsey, Benteke or Bony and just get Bowery and Stephens that will be hugely disappointing.  What about recent links to Huddlestone, Gouffran, Benayoun, N'Zonzi, Lambert, Downing etc. maybe some of these will be resurrected.

I reckon wehat happened was we bid yesterday and found out he wasn't interested in coming here as he wanted to go to Liverpool.  Fulham then leaked it to try and force Liverpool into bidding.  That's probably why Bertie was a caught out a bit when asked about it as he thought it was dead, which it is other than being used by Fulham.

So Clint Dempsey, who has surely been around long enough to know that the Liverpool deal might not even happen, especially now they're in for Sturridge, would rather stay at a club where he's burnt his bridges, where the manager's not even talking to him, than move to Aston Villa. If that's true then our stock really has fallen through the floor.
