Shit the bed 9/4 to go down with Hills. We were 5/1 after Bolton turned the knife last year!

So, effectively one day left then.  Going to have our work cut out it would seem.

Well, it's one day to tie up a player we've already made two bids for, so that's hardly a big ask in the frantic rush that is the last day of the transfer window.

I'd imagine the DCM that we're also supposed to be after will be more of a rush, but then he's likely to be in the country already.
Yea but there is also medicals, sorting out personal terms in contracts etc...

I hope we won't cut it fine with time.

Plenty of deals will get done tomorrow with medicals, etc. rushed through.  It's pretty much the norm.

Which means,in their opinion ,we're twice more likely to stay up. I hope most fans would think we've improved the squad since the start of the last campaign and we have a better coaching staff plus further additions to come. Keep the faith

Yes, but what a day it promises to be! Hoping for Villa's best Deadline day ever, none of this sitting around waiting for nothing, a signing every couple of hours will do nicely.

For me, nothing will ever top the frenzied phantom-signing-of-kevin-prince-boateng transfer deadline, whenever that was.

Does anyone else find it a little depressing seeing many exciting players going to other clubs? most notably, QPR and Swansea. Why are we not signing anyone interesting? Am I missing something?

Didn't they sign Andy johnson?  If him and bobby zamora would get you excited then fair enough, but they'd make me worried we had lots of players on big wages with little or no sell on value who will be a huge drain on the clubs resources in a couple of years.  Which we've seen a lot of at the Villa.

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
The ball is in Genk's court, #avfc have made an improved offer on their original one and would go a bit higher, but won't be held to ransom

So Kendrick has basically told Genk to ignore this offer as will make a third one?

Yes that will be the latest final no coming back final final offer ..... maybe   :P

Can I be the first to say I like QPR? In my days of actually attending football matches it was always one of my favourite away grounds, plenty of pubs nearby, nice compact stadium and always the chance you could bump into Mick Jones from The Clash (I didn't). And Stan Bowles is one of my favourite ever players.
