All the optimism has evaporated.

It will be another season of discontent unless there's signings this week.

Actually I'm getting quite depressed, can somebody just make up a random ITK type rumour so I can grab some comfort.

I kept saying yesterday that he would improve our team. He was a good player for us when we were a top six side, now that we're bottom six we should be welcoming him with open arms.

People forget that he was a contributing player and always gave all his effort for the team rarely having a bad game. But apparently he's now shit with people only having goldfish memories.

As so many players leave ie Heskey, Young, Milner, Young, Cuellar and co I would like to see our wages compared to say 18 months ago and see if it need reducing or not and We need to spend on quality but not high demanding wages players.

Seems your the one with the goldfish memory if you think he never had a bad game. He's crap, over rated, can't pass and were two weeks into the season and nobody can be arsed to sign him on a free, its getting silly now all this pining for him.

I don't think Lerner will be happy till our wage bill resembles a team of YTS kids with all these cutbacks  We'll be struggling to avoid relegation with this squad of no hopers. I think Lambert's a decent manager, but he's no magician. If he (Lerner) doesn't wake up to this and sign some players, and I don't mean more of the cheap bargain basement types we've already signed so far, we're going to find ourselves in the Championship next season. That's how serious our situation is, in my opinion.

No goldfish memory here but he's (NRC) worse than that, can't pass, can't shoot, can't head a ball and can't really tackle even though people go on and on about him being a midfield enforcer. He professed at one time to be the best box to box midfielder in Europe the truth is he has now found his true level.

While NRC is no world beater is he worse than Bannon or Delph .....thats the level of midfielder we have !

Currently we have no squad and I fear that we are destined for the bottom 3 .....two weeks ago I was very positive ...... now honestly wish hadnt spend £595 on a season ticket

Hate to say yesterday was worse than last year in my view - its the quality available not the manager!

We need to spend 50 million this week but wont so we are stuck with what we have !

It’s a bit more complicated than that though.  NRC might currently be on par, or even better than those players, however he will want 40k a week for 3 years.  I’d prefer to give that money to a new player who might end up being better than NRC, after all, even NRC’s biggest fan will acknowledge that he is a limited player.

Charlie Adam left out completely today? Could do a job for us. Not my number one choice but maybe can give us a bit of creativity in midfield...

I can't agree with that at all, last season we were a shambolic disaster and gave up as soon as we went a goal down. While we were totally outplayed yesterday we atleast gave it a go and showed some spirit in the 2nd half which is the bare minimum I'd expect from a Villa/Lambert team.

2 shots 1 on target at home. Pretty concerning even if it is early in season.
