You think it's perfectly ok for a club to bring a player to the club who can't speak the native tongue?
I don't see it as being an issue.

Tevez, Cazorla, De Gea and Ronaldo all couldn't/can't speak a word of English and I'll happily have taken all of them.

Ok. Well clearly then Lerner sanctioned the signing of an apparent superstar footballer who hasn't been rated then by the last three managers including the one who signed him?

He signed a player with good pedigree who the manager wanted. What a horrible man. Do you feel that it should be the chairman who decides which players the manager should and shouldn't sign?

And as for 'wasn't rated by the manager who signed him', considering he played in nearly every game he was available for when Houllier was picking the team I'm not sure what you are basing that on.

Bentenke fits the bill, 6"3 and scored goals, young enough to not demand a start every week and cheap enough to turn a big profit if he comes off.

Cresswell I have never seen kick a ball, so not a clue. Bennett I have seen once and thought he did well going forward a couple of times. Olsson would be a good signing as he knows the league at least, but then the last left back we bought from Black.....

Not telling his manager who to sign like some chairmen do? Also, what you say about Makoun not being rated by his last three managers isn't strictly true, it's clearly more a case of him failing to settle in.

If by every game then you mean he played in half of the 16 games then I guess so. The point if the guy was any good then he shouldn't of been allowed to go on loan last season. If he wasn't good enough and there is no way of settling then they surely they knew this some time ago so other steps should've have been taken??

He played in eight of the ten games that he was available for under Houllier's tenure. He was rested along with most of the first team in the FA Cup game. Leaving him being 'dropped' for one match.

Still, you know best.

I apologise, I stand corrected. I still don't understand why the guy isn't playing for us now bearing in mind how poor our midfield is?

Can't get a work permit. Whether that is his fault, the club's fault or (probably most likely) a combination of the two we can't use him because he can't work in the UK at the moment.

Why on Earth was he loaned to a team where his work permit would be turned down upon his return then? My next question is who is running this club and the final one is when are they going to get the help running it they so desperately need?

This happens all the time.

How much English do you think Drogba spoke when he came to this country, for example?
