Did i dream it or were we linked with Stefan Kießling the other day?

If so ... [TRS-T mode]he's an absolute BEAST on FIFA Ultimate Team, runs through defences like an on-form Carew on steroids[/TRS-T mode]

I see Manchester United on TV and noticed Javier Hernandez is not in the squad. Should we try to sign him for Villa ? as They got the showpony, shrek, wellbeck and robin

Yes please.

Just thinking out loud here, but instead of finding a LB or Left Wing Back, we should propose that to old Charlie if he wants a future at the club. I think he might have played there in the past, is quick, can still operate in an attacking capacity and contribute. Now, th challenge. The defensive side of things which he's already moaned about. If it can be done, then I think he could be a very good wing back.

He played there for Newcastle.

Not sure how well, though.

thought he did. I think he has all of the attacking attributes in a Gareth Bale kind of way. Can he defend and does he want to are the bigger questions.

Yes it was.

Loved the interview with Joe Kinnear when he said N'Zogbia would come in to training saying Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man United and Arsenal all wanted to sign him so naturally he sold him to Wigan.

I'd really love us to get Robbie Keane back. He'd be the link between our midfield and Bent. He's a clever player who finds space easily, can pass the ball well and he scores goals. I also think he has the necessary leadership skills and will thrive on the responsibility of captaincy.

Admittedly his wages won't come cheap, but if we got shot of Makoun, Warnock and Hutton as well as already losing Cuellar and Heskey off the wage bill it could be affordable.

Robbie Keane was good as a short term option, not as a full season footballer in the PL. All the love we have for him would be gone in a few short months as he reveals he's no longer up to this standard on a full time basis.

With the money we are saving in salary for Heskey, Cuellar and Collins, plus the 2.5mill for Collins from Wet Spam, have Villa actually spent anything this summer?  So much for Lambert being backed in the transfer market!  There must be some seriously good transfers going to happen at VP over the next 10 days or so. I think the fans have done their bit so far with selling out at Upton Park and supporting the kit launch, spending loads.  Time for Randy to put his hand in his pocket.
It was generous of the new lads to come in and play for free.

read between the lines mate.  Ok, apart from the salaries of the new players, we haven't really spent a great deal have we.I am sick of reading that the club WILL back the Manager, when it hasn't happened. Yet the club bang on about buying season tickets.
We have spent £9m. Without checking, I would think that would put us about 6th in he spending charts so far.

Is he not a bit too similar to Bent?

The height and power argument well displayed by Everton. Players with power and height that can also play are very useful.
