I'm ok with a loan as long as there is an option to buy, I don't like what happened with Walker but as well if someone is shit or doesn't fit in you can ship them back, unless you've loaned from the boggies and then you have to loan then buy no matter how shit they are!

Going back onto Kenwyne Jones, i know it's only rumour but i think he's dreadful. He's different to what we already have but that's about it. We can do a lot better.

Agreed. Another Marlon Harewood type signing. Luckily I think (hope) there's nothing in it.

It would be nice if we signed Naughton.

As long as it is with an agreed fee Naughton would be welcome, you would assume that he would play left back?

If he signs Ozz, I would have thought he will play LB.

Possibly. RB is his first position though so perhaps he'll be competition with Lowton. I would rather we signed a decent, specialist LB.
Naughton's a good player though. We'd have a good amount of competition at RB and adequate cover at LB.

Who was the last player we loaned out to a team and he came back a much much better player?

Gabby, and even then it took a while to get going. It wasn't directly related to his time on loan but probably helped a little.

I must have missed this. Likely another story The Sun has got wrong but I've not seen anything anywhere else about this:

Quote
ASTON VILLA have offered a three-year deal to the Mr Clean of Italian football.

Defender Simone Farina — who plays for Serie B side Gubbio — exposed a match-fixing scandal when he reported a bent former team-mate to cops.

I agree Tom.  I think he would play LB for the short-term, with a specialist LB maybe being added in the future.

Stoke bloke at work has heard that we're after Guidetti from Man City for about 9M and Danny stinking Rose on loan, with Hutton going to them.

Can't say I know anything about Guidetti??

Top scorer in Dutch league last season for Feynoord, quite a few from penalties though

He’s been mentioned a few times now.  What sort of striker is he?
9M sounds a lot but it again shows the benefit of sending youngsters out on loan rather than just playing reserve games.
