Striker wise a cheaper version of Carroll is ideal really. But hard to find it would appear.

Saha's a decent player. He'd score goals for us and would be a good option on the bench. He'd also be able to play with Bent, but would be more than capable of leading the line on his own if called upon to do so. On a one year deal I'd take the risk. We'd be unlucky to lose him, Gabby and Bent to injury at the same time. I do think we need to sign another experienced, proven front man.

Yeah. I was saying the other day maybe a short term deal/loan for a CB and a striker to cover while Dunne and Gabby are injured. I wouldn't mind Saha for a season, he's still pretty sharp.

I like Fletcher, but a £12m striker he isn't. Although, he will be if Wolves accept Sunderland's offer, obviously. I've read to see anywhere that we're interested in him though.

Fletcher is a good player, anyone who scores goals in a shit team has to have something about them. I agree £15m seems a lot but I gave up trying to makes sense of transfer fees ages ago. If press reports are to be believed he's got his mind set on going back to Scotland with Sunderland so I'd be very surprised if he were to come here.

Saha is too injury prone, I'd rather give our youngsters a chance to impress.
