A trio of English Premier League clubs are interested in snapping up Ivory Coast striker Arouna Kone from Levante this summer.

According to Valencia-based daily Super Deporte, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland have all cast their gaze in the direction of the former Sevilla hitman, who is likely to be sold for the right price, and Levante are braced for bids to arrive.

Kone moved to Levante just last summer, on loan from Sevilla, and helped the club surprise much of La Liga, even topping the table at one point before falling back during the second half of the campaign.

Maybe Holman could play the "Robbie Keane" role ?

Again, don't want to jump to conclusions after seeing one pre season game, but I personally don't think Holman is going to be that type of player.  An honest grafter who works hard and gets in some good positions, but from what I saw yesterday he doesn't seem to have the quality on the ball of a Stephen Ireland or a Robbie Keane.  I would liken him more to a James Milner type of player. 

Hopefully a bit more James Milner and a bit less Steve Stone.

I think we'll end up stuck with Hutton.  I bet Spurs couldn't believe their luck when we came calling last summer.  Taking their godawful right back off them, AND paying the perma-injured Jenas's wages.
