All I know is that no hack knows what Lerner has told Lambert.

I love PL ;)

That just made me realise for the first time that, not only do I share initials with our manager, but that it's actually possible for anyone to have the same initials as me.

Tomorrow, I learn about fire.

Eugh, Peter Lilley.

Reading that Telegraph piece, it does make me realise that next season will very much be a season of transition again.  I like what Lambert is doing but we as fans need to be realistic that it is not likely to click straight away.

At least it’ll be better to watch.

Sorry to go over old ground again, but it's a shame the piece does not point the finger at the manager who was responsible for the wage bill being "haywire".

If it goes through then Alan Hutton would have had £16m spent on him in 4 years.

Proof, if ever it were needed that the Premier League is mental.

I think he'll keep dunne, and I'm not sure he'll thus bring another cb in.

I think the point about expectations is very well made. I expect us to be better coached and I hope some of our youngsters step up. But unless we become really resolute at the back, el ahmadi really becomes a dominant midfielder and our fwds (bent, CNZ, gabby and / or perhaps a new face) really fire; we're pretty unlikely to be top 8 or even top ten throughout the season

Absolutley right - I hope the Sunderland fans / board are reading it
When they trot out some of the wages our players are or were on it is astonishing the amounts against the quality of player

MON should be exposed for the charlatan he really is

What a big relief it will be to offload Hutton.

We could have had a hessian bag of shit at right back last season and it would have done a better job than him.

The cloggers at Stoke are made for him.

I have nothing against the people or anything but I really hope Stoke get relegated this season.
An abomination of a team and that scumbag that manages them... ueeergh.

Pulis likes his big nut case defenders, usually 4 centre backs across the back.

Hutton will fit in perfectly there.

Managing to off load Collins, Hutton and maybe Warnock out on loan and get some money for them would represent good business alone this summer.

It's refreshing to know that in a relatively short period of time our new manager is fully aware of our defensive limitations and has set about sorting it in such a focused manner.

I thought Collins was good for us when played under MON with Dunne,  he is a good player in a well organized team. We haven't had that since MON shafted us.
He has been less mediocre in the last two seasons, but so has all our other defenders and and the team on front of them has been shite.
I think it's good bit of business by West Ham if Fat Samuel can get his defense organized Collins will be be a lynchpin for them for a good few years to come.
Anyway onwards and upwards, roll on he Concrete Ronald era.
