I would love to watch MON spunk away somebody else's money for a change.

Wolves have rejected a £10m Sunderland bid for Fletcher

Crazy money for Fletcher. You really know football has gone mad when you see figure like this bandied about for him.

Even in the madness of modern day British transfer fee's I think £2m for Collins is about rite, he's just not very good at all. Westham will be fine with any team that goes route 1 but are going to be in real trouble against any technical forwards with Collins and Tomkins at the back.

£12m bid imminent I reckon, wonder how far Wolves will push there luck before accepting, I think they could get MON to £14m.

MON is so stubborn he will now get Fletcher at any price. £12m I reckon.

If he did what Lambert's doing and looked at players from the continent, he'd probably find someone of superior talent for about a quarter of the price. Not our problem any more though ;)

Getting good players from Holland on the cheap doesn't sound the worlds worst plan.

Surely Gabby would be worth a fair bit more than Fletcher considering they are a similar age, have a similar scoring ratio and most of Gabby's have come in the PL whereas most of Fletcher's were in Scotland and the Championship?

Gabby has had a poor couple of years though and if we were offered anything like £10m i would definately accept it, we saw what happened when bent was injured and i feel another striker is required before the season starts, bent is a goal machine but if he gets injured we will struggle for goals, gabby has his assets but he is not a natural goalscorer.

I also think we need to factor in the wages that Collins is earning.  The fee might need to drop a bit so the buying club can afford to effectively take over his wages.  I reckon that Collins is on almost 2m a year.

Lambert doesn't strike me as a stuipd man so I'd be extremely surprised if sold him before having the chance to work with him and see if he could get him back playing how he was under O'Neill.
