We had a look at Luuk de Jong, Guidetti is similar. Arguably better or has more potential.

Scouting these players before Lambert came does give me more faith in Holman, who I do already like anyway, as he is a player brought in from our scouting rather than him being a player TSM actually targeted and that these players coming in from Holland aren't just players that have been spotted in the last few weeks but have been monitored for some time, with the report I linked dated February, and we are buying players based on months of research.

I have a personal attachment to John Guidetti.

Football Manager 2009 was the game, as I attempted to bring the mighty Cheltenham Town up the football pyramid to one day lift the European Cup, which was a harder task than most. Due to an arsehole chairman and general 'small time' nature of the club I was left with a horrendous transfer budget and I found it very difficult to operate much in the transfer window.

Come the end of my first season, as I found myself barely surviving in the third division, I needed a goal scorer. Of course, this was no easy task with the afore mentioned money troubles, so I was left to scour the free agents in hopes of unearthing a gem. A few days later, after much scouting I received a notification in my news feed 'Clubs in England release Youth Players'. Upon reading further I found the sentence that would change my career.

'Noticable releases include John Guidetti, who was released by Manchester City'.

I snapped the kid up.

After scoring a hatrick in his first appearance in a pre-season friendly, he was catapulted into my first team and went on to become one of the true greats at the club, and was the icon and ultimate mastermind of my ascent into the Premier League.

Yes Villa have made some losses but, in relative terms they're manageable.

That's the whole point, you don't know about Lerner's finances, but are happy to say that the Forbes amount is inaccurate.    If Forbes had a habit of getting their figures wildly wrong, I'm sure there'd be far more heard about it.  There are enough events of the past two years (suing that US Investment house, cutting back at Villa and now selling the Browns) to suggest that cashflow might be a problem.

I'm am providing no specific figure on Randy's worth, just that its a lot more than Forbes state.

It's not an accountancy, its a roundabout figure not many probably care too much about.

And you're supposing a hell of a lot with your last sentence. The legal case could have been a matter of principle rather than a desire for financial reward, cutting back at Villa had to be done because it was out of control and selling the Browns might just as easily be because he doesn't want the hassle any more, is not into it and to raise cash for other adventures such as Villa.

I dont doubt Randy has had some financial hits recently by the way. That much is obvious.
