He is a very highly rated Swedish forward who is a Man City player but of course was on loan at Feyenoord last season with a fantastic scoring record of 20 goals in 23 games.

We must have some scouts who liked Feyenoord !! However he is a very highly rated player who clearly will have trouble starting at City. I would hope of course it is a perm deal and not a loan to help out Man city. The other thing is of course he is a Scandinavian and you know just how I love them and how we need them !

Guidetti would be ace. I was hoping he was one of the players we scouted on our Dutch odyssey.

His record is very impressive. If he'd played for most other clubs he'd be coming through their ranks easily but at Citeh he won't get a look in. Let's get in there.

However, I'm confused as to how a Dutch journalist knows he was spotted in Birmingham and by who?

It was reported earlier this year that Arthur Newman, our scout out in Holland, was watching John Guidetti and Karim El Ahmadi long before Lambert arrived.

I did mention before on here that it seems a bit coincidental that Lambert happened to have a list of players he wanted from Holland when we had a scouting program out in Holland, to which some said that Lambert must of been watching them players when at Norwich.

Seems to me though it's the clubs scouting before Lambert arrived that highlighted these targets and these players were Villa targets rather than Lambert targets.

It was only the gobshite they would have been playing for before May that concerned me.

We had a look at Luuk de Jong, Guidetti is similar. Arguably better or has more potential.

Guidetti looks a prospect. From what I can gather City were going to use him as fourth choice this year (sell Tevez and Dezko and replace with RVP and Guidetti).

Doesn't seem to have worked, so maybe he'll be available on loan?

Although I'm sure I read elsewhere half his goals were penalties.
