I'd rather cut my losses with N'Zogbia. I don't think his hearts in it here. Think he came here for the money. He's not working hard enough. His confidence is low too. It's a combination that's not good. You'd think players would be busting a gut and eager to impress under the new manager. Largely they seem to have done that in the two games, but seems by most accounts Charles has been poor. I don't think it's merely the lack of confidence, I do think it's down to attitude too. We can do without such a moody player. Need someone more reliable.

Beginning to agree with you. Really wanted him to do well but his body language hasn't been great and he's running out of time IMO

It's a tough call with him, there's quality there, he's proven capable in the prem but it's just not worked for him so far, and may never, I guess I'm less eager to write off a 10m player than some.  We need to get things settled and then see how things go in the real games.

I'd give N'Zogbia another chance under Lambert then if he's still showing signs of not improving then let him go, although we would'nt get all our transfer fee back.

When the Grant Holt rumours were flying around and the videos of him were being posted, i noticed a lot of his goals came from crosses into the box, which is something N'Zogbia rarely does considering he's meant to be a winger. This might be his downfall under Lambert.

I'd agree with Holte L2 - we shouldn't be writing him off yet, so give him until Christmas and see if he can deliver the goods.

Nzogbia has showed at his other clubs, that when he needs to show heart and knuckle down and work hard,he can't be arsed. Sell him to Sunderland and try and get Hoillet or Phillips from Blackpool.

I heard he came back from Germany without agreeing anything, and QPR were showing an interest.

As said, the only players I wouldn't extend that to cover are last years defence, and even then it's only Warnock and Hutton that I desperately want rid of, they were far and away the worst pair of fullbacks last year and, for me, fullbacks are a massively important position as they're generally the players with the most time and space to do something with the ball, but they still need to be solid in defence, those pair offer little going forward and are a liability going back.

There's no doubt that N'Zogbia's a skilful player but he always tries to beat one man too many in an attempt to score a spectacular goal (and he didn't get many of those last season). He could be very useful as a wide player if he could be persuaded to cross.

Agreed and he also needs to learn to pass more as well. I lost count the number of times he did'nt pass to a team mate and instead ran into the opposition and gave the ball away.

He seemed more willing to pass at Wigan, I wonder if he was told to 'go out and make something happen' and figured keeping hold of the bal lwas the best chance to do that.  I've always thought he was a bit greedy but not to the extent he showed last year.

Matt Phillips, or Ince from Blackpool would be very good. Hoillett is going QPR.
