Unless I missed something, Guzan hasn't signed yet.

Plus I'm fairly sure Marshall's never played 1 full game for us.

I assume to offer experience and support to the youth and reserves who come through. I can't imagine it's costing us a great deal to have him around and enough managers have decided to keep him on to suggest it's worth it.

Where is that then? Shame if true, fancied 2 big hard central midfield players, but Makoun, Herd and Gardner do give us a bit of depth alongside Karim.

I suppose, but I can't see why Given isn't fulfilling those roles? He's got just as much experience, if not more - having played regularly in the top flight and for his country.

He's not playing alongside them in the reserve team like Marshall though.

Think Marshall will be able to devote a lot more time than first team keeper can.

Interesting to see Steven Caulker being linked with a move from Spurs.  He's the big CB who was on loan at Swansea last season and looked decent.  Wouldn't mind us being in for him if he is available.
