Links to Snodgrass at Leeds again with a suggestion Delph might go the opposite way on loan.

Wouldn't say no to that.
I've thought Snodgrass could be a good signing for a season or so now.
Delph has got quality, I just think he might need a season out on loan to push his injuries away and pick his confidence up again.

Some are tweeting that Gabby is off to Swansea for £5m. It's probably bollocks so I guess somebody had to post it, may as well be myself.
"It's a Gabby and Moore reunion ...."

I think that, unless he is under pressure to reduce the wage bill further, Lambo is going to want to give Gabby and Ireland a chance to show what they can do under his aegis.
A decision on Gabby may well depend on how well Bent returns to full fitness - Gabby, after all, appears best in a one-up-front formation - as well as on his own approach and attitude.
A decision on Ireland may well depend on whether he knuckles down or acts like a scrote, and whether his style of play (which is fantastic when on song) will fit with the rest of the squad and Lambo's own football objectives.

I dont think gabby is good enough to start every game week in week out and i think gabby's problem because he is picked every week, he doesnt have to work hard to stay in the team. Hopefully lambert will revert him back to his forward role which would then make him a back up for bent, therefore forcing him to perform and fight for his place. IMO he is a sub at best someone to throw on in the last 20mins when defenders are tired and can do what he is best at. Running, creating gaps in the defence with his pace. He shouldnt be in the starting 11 next season.

It would be a good deal for both clubs, and both players. Delph needs to play for a season without injury and show he can do it, and if he does Lambert will no doubt have him back. Snodgrass has been mentioned as a Prem player for a couple of years now, and worked with Lambert in Scotland I believe. If Delph does go though, I think we are central midfielder light, unless he has seen enough in Gardner to think we are ok.

Get him and Bahrimi, and we would have managed to get 2 wide men, a full back, a centre mid and Holman who can play anywhere across attacking midfield, for about 12 million quid. I really like the strategy of buying sensibly. It also means after a few are sold there might be a bit of cash for a top quality centre half and striker.

The way it is going, and who we are linked with, I can see us ending up with 8 or 9 in this summer. Not before time either.

I can't see both Snodgrass AND Bahrimi comign in.  We already have N'Zogbia, Super Marc and Holman for the wide places, plus possibly Gabby.  One more would be OK, but after that the money would be better spent elsewhere.

Doubt Laudrup wants or can afford 5million for Agbonlahor

The lazy git probably hadn't heard of Ramis until we were linked...he did play for Clough so maybe he picked up a few of ol' big head's tricks.

I'd literally cry.

I heard it's actually closer to 3m and he's fallen out with Lambert.
I hope it's just a tongue in cheek comment, ToLambo, but, 'Fallen out with Lambert?'
He only met him yesterday, didn't he?  :)

No, deadly serious

Tongue so firmly in cheek it's drawing blood. Twitter may be the easiest place in the worl to make anything you want up and have people run with it as gospel.

The Ramis story is in the Sun again:-

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4415129/Ivan-Ramis-transfer-Aston-Villa-and-Sunderland-in-fight-for-Mallorca-defender.html

You can see the conversation now can't you

MON - I really liked you in Ghostbusters Harold
Ramis - it's Ivan
MON gives him that glare for daring to correct him...considers dialing lawyer
MON - what positions can you play?
Ramis - I'm a central defender
MON - sure you are. How about we play a game? I'll tell you what position you play? Now, where in the UK were you born again...
