Holt staying at Norwich? That's a fortnight wasted 'getting used to it' as john e told me to.

To be fair, 40 minutes ago MartinO'Neill'sSunderland were `closing in on him'. Now they're not.

Bet he gets injured after about five games

Anyone think Butterfield going there may clear the way for Howson to move on?

MON Mk2 sounds like something Greg would say.
Where's Greg lately anyway? Is it too chipper for his tastes around these parts now?

I think Greg was very happy with Lambert but is keeping his powder dry regarding the transfer budget available. He seems to think we won't spend much. Last I heard he was on a Besiktas forum singing the praises of TSM.

Butterfield is more of a centre half and Howson is a midfielder..........

Ignore the above please...........:-)

Not seen much of him, but a lot of pundits were singing his praises last season.  It will be interesting to see how Butterfield does in the Premiership, as he has been getting good reviews for a few seasons now.  The other Championship midfielder who I'd be interested in seeing in the Premiership is Andy King from Leicester.  Like Butterfield, he had a bad injury last season, but looked a class act before that.

Butterfield is definitely a midfielder.

Butterfield is a midfield player I am sure. We were linked strongly with a move in Jan, and he was touted as a midfielder before the injury he got.

I think Greg was advocating Bertie when it looked very much like we were getting OJS.  That would have given him the beginings of his campaign aginst the next manager.  I guess he's staying away until people forget that, so he can then come back on and start having a go.

I think he's waiting for us to forget his assertion that Aston Villa had no chance of attracting a manager from the likes of Norwich.

He is indeed, I think Spangley was thinking of Danny Butterfield who has about 40 now.

He must be gutted that Lambert is looking less and less like MON mark 2.  But I'm sure he'll find an angle eventually.

What a load of old bollocks.

You'd think so but when Rodgers looks at his squad and having watched Andy Carroll power in a superb header for England, you'd imagine his first thought was we need a winger who can deliver crosses for Carroll. It's the one area they really need to fill.
