Anyone else seen the pictures of Rooney at a Vodka party in LA the day Spain show their brilliance to win the Euros? I cringed and thought why have they not been made to stay out there and watch the games.

Anyhow, the point is, as much as he improved as a player last season, I would love to have no players from Villa going to parties in LA with Cole, Rooney and Zat Knight. Unfortunately a rather lobster esque resembling cock is there, smirking away, looking like he is the bloke that crashed the party with his mates. Yes, I give you the great Steven Ireland. It will be sad from a footballing point of view, but I cannot see Lambert keeping him long.
just looked at the photos, what a load of bozo's, and i just dont get this flicking the v's in every pic. They supposed to look hard or something??

I tend to agree with the consensus that they look riduculous, however I am of the opinion that it's their holiday and if that's what floats their boat then so be it.

I'm sure Lambert will look at this photo with the same pinch of salt that Fergie and RDM have.

How Zat Knight convinced anyone he was a pro footballer at this party leaves me wondering.

Am I right in thinking that at the moment Zat Knight is actually an unemployed footballer?

I don't get this celebrity nonsense. Why is anyone interested enough in Rooney or anyone else come to that attending a party that they go out and buy a paper. Why does anyone care?

Zat Knight convinced me he was a pro footballer the night he rifled in that shot from the edge of the box against Arsenal and that header against Chelsea which got mourinho the tin tack.
Not the greatest player we have ever had and definitely overpriced, but his effort was total(which i view as a major plus these days) and accepted his role in the team which was a back up centre half without whingeing. Obviously very proud to have played for the club he supported. Gets bad press which i think is a tad unfair.

Being linked with Scott Sinclair.

It would be great to see five signings of that calibre. Its good to see Villa casting an eye over the full spectrum of players available.

Zat Knight> Collins.
Zat Knight> Dunne.
There I said it.
To be fair to Zat we always seemed to exaggerate and hold onto any errors he made but he didn't let us down that often. He was more reliable than Davies and hasn't been nearly as poor as Collins and Dunne have at times in the last two years. Plus he was a goal threat and scored some memorable ones for us.

Impressed with the younger players we've been linked with, Naughton, Ruddy, Sinclair, Clyne etc... They'll have a sell-on value, which is a bonus, I've come to terms now that we're more like a stepping-stone club to the bigger boys, but if we can get 2 or 3 good players out of hungry younger players like we did from Ashley Young and James Milner then everybody's happy.

Junior Hoillet's contract has expired with Blackburn. I'd be on it like a car bonet.
