Cool, the way he's talking, it seems to be a done deal. That's two on board.

Just read that Czech Rep's Tomas Sivok is a free agent. We should be looking at him I think as he's a tidy player (right-sided centre half, aged 29). May want silly wages though I guess!

Does this bode well for Makoun?  Seems a very similar player to me and with Herd also around for the same position, maybe Bertie has decided against giving him another try?

Don't know John. I would have thought this lad is a ball winner, Makoun a link man with Ireland playing a little further forward. Either that or we just have a deeper squad with more quality and flexibility depending on how a game is going or the type of opponent which ultimately is what we need.

Lambert has confirmed were in talks with him,so hopefully it'll get sorted soon. Bet no one had him on the 'first signing' page!

I put Sivok in my fantasy team because he sounds like he might be a Vulcan or Romulan.

He'd work well with Lescott then, that boy's clearly a Klingon!   ;D

Is there a link to this? Great news if that's the case.  Good to see Villa getting in there early.

From what I just watched he is certainly more mobile. He will add legs to our side that we have really missed since Milner left. I think we may finally have a horrible bastard in there to break up the oppositions attacks. A bit of research tells me he was voted 7th best player in the Dutch League last year (the highest placed CDM.) He does remind me of Delph by appearance though, hopefully he can bring his game on.

Just think how much money the club will make from printing the name "El Ahmadi Assouri" on the back of replican shirts. That'll fund the Champions League push on its own. Just hope no-one starts a chant beginning "Give me an E, give me an L..."

according to a Feyenoord supporting friend, El Hamadi is "a very important player for Feyenoord, and it will be a big loss".

It's not a problem as we'll just think of a cute nickname for him instead, like Gabby or 'the Fonz'!
