Adam Johnson for £10million would be useful. But, I don't know how good he actually is.

I might have a few bob on Johnson going to Spurs as part of the deal which takes Bale and/or Modric to Man City.

Naughton and the French kid are the exact signings we will be looking at.  Still young and likely to be worth more than we paid after a couple of years.

Adam Johnson would be a great signing if we get him for a reasonable fee and not on silly wages, again the chance of his value increasing needs to be there.

I think the board will be wanting a lot more signings like Young/Milner and a lot less like Dunne/Heskey, I don't think we'll be buying with the intention of selling players on but rather with the option of making a profit if they decide to walk away.

Well put. I read a fair bit (mainly on VT, less so on here) from fans that don't fully appreciate how football - and life you could say - is structured. While it's good to strive to improve yourself, it's also important to accept your position in the pecking order.

By that I mean by acknowledging Man(s) Utd and City, Chelsea, Arsenal etc etc have the finance and pull to attract our better players we can play the system to our benefit.

I think we should sign Ben Johnson. Is he still open?

Going back to that Ireland/QPR link, I can see it happening!

He's played well for us last season, but I can't escape the feeling that he's a timebomb waiting to go off and we'll then be stuck with a waste of space on a large contract.  I guess it'll be down to how Bertie sees it, but I wouldn't blame him if he wanted it to be someone else's problem!

I have to agree, sadly.

I say sadly because, like you said, he did well for us at times last season, but he's still a risky asset to have.

I'd be suprised if Ireland left this summer to be honest.

If its Michael Johnson please avoid, he is my mates nephew and without going into details he has major issues

He has lost total interest in footy

He means Adam Johnson I think. I've heard he likes the odd crafty pint or 12 too but that would of course have to be settled beyond any shadow of a doubt before we bid for him. Either he wants a career as a top player which is still quite possible or he wants to piss it up the wall.

We need hungry players but not hungry for a kebab after a night on the cooking lager.

Yes I did, Johnson is from Durham and known as a pisshead.

Adam Johnson is known for thinking he is billy big bollocks. No shame, loves drink too much and is a right arrogant twat.
One incident in particular I can't post as may get a mate in trouble but when he told me, Adam Johnson went high up on the list of premiership tossers

I'd sell Ireland if we got the right offer. However, I'd let most of them go if we got the right deal - It'd only take an astronomical deal for Gabby or Clark to let me sell them.

Naughton seems almost too obvious. Him and that French left back would be a nice start, especially with Hutton and Warnock going.

Adam Johnson is a little overrated and I very much doubt he could play in the same team as N'Zogbia, such is their little contribution to defending.

Bent, Clark & Gardner are the only players I'd place as 'not for sale'....

Up with Stephen Ireland from what I've heard about him. To be honest I should imagine there are an awful lot of premiership tossers.

From what I understand, Michael likes beer too much and currently is around 3 stone above playing weight.I cannot see coming to us...
