Cannot believe the NRC love in. hasn't he got the same amount of Premier League relegations as Mcleish on his CV, the difference being he bailed both times.

He's shit.

The end.

He looks very good going forward, a bit like Kyle Walker, not sure about him defensively though.

Well said Karl, totally agree.  This is a chance to move on, start again and build for the future.  Look forward not back.

I didn't mind Reo, but don't want him back. We need footballing midfielders.

Aye, we need midfielders that can pass.  A pre-requisite of any football player!!

I quite liked Reo-Coker before we signed him. He would have helped our fight against relegation, but if we are to improve we meed more fluidity in central midfield. To achieve that we need midfielders who are good at more than one thing.

The same argument applies to Ireland. If we got a half decent bid for him I'd move him on too.

Ireland has been used in the photoshoot for the new kits so presumably he's still in our plans.

NRC - good at breaking up the play, putting his foot in and overall workrate but his distribution is very very poor.  Technically rubbish as well.  Would i like to see him back at villa park? errrr nope.  We invested a lot of money in him before and I would like us to do the same again.

Always rated Corluka... would be decent i think. Lambert want Naughton?

Corluka is too slow in my view. Way too slow

I think it means very, very little. Was Milner not involved the summer he went, and maybe Barry when he asked to leave. They will have chosen "fans favourites" and stuck em in the shirt. So Bent, Gabby, Ireland, Herd, Weimann would be the obvious choices.

So that means Collins & Bannan are off? ;D

Good.

I don't think Ireland is going anywhere. Lambert isn't about to sell the fans player of the year as one of his first moves unless the player demands it. And the price being mooted is ridiculous. He's a young lad, not even in the prime of his career. There's lots of time for MLS where established players past their best go to have one more spot in the sun in an inferior league. They don't go in their prime playing years.

In both examples, it wasn't the club's idea for them to move so it's not really a surprise that they were included. The pictures for the kits are hardly conclusive but with no better sources of information available, I think it's easy to read into who was used and who wasn't but find it interesting none-the-less.
