Ruddy from Norwich, was immense for them for 2 seasons...we need another keeper as Shay's best years are behind him.

In that case why did we get rid of Guzan? I thought he was a very good keeper.

Not sure if already been discussed by Simon Poulsen the LB for the Danes looks a goodun. Remember thinking this about him last time I saw him. Him and Kjaer in place of Warnock and Dunne/Collins. Also how about that DeRossi guy for Italy? looks decent.   ;)

Poulsen is a free agent this summer, would be a great addition. But I imagine he will go to a club in Europe next season.

Poulsen for free would be a good bit of business!

After watching tonight, a big NO to any Irish, including Keane! Hopeless. I'm sorry to our Irish supporters, nothing personal (I really wanted them to do well), but how the bloody hell did they qualify?

I seem to remember that Robbie Keanes two goals against the dog heads kept us in the prem near enough!!

I fully appreciated Keane's contribution when he was here, but I think we should be looking towards players who can make contributions for years to come rather than ageing players.

Or maybe it was Weimann's goal against Fulham? Or Given's save against the Boggies? Or Ireland's goal? (He did get one didn't he?) Like I said, nowt personal intended, I'm not anti-Irish by any means (as A fellow Celt I'm more pro them than English actually), but even Given was poor and Dunne was his usual crap self. Not good enough!

Selling Shay for the right price wouldn't be the end of the world. Apparently QPR are going to bid for hm this week. I'd love Lambo to go and get Ruddy. Failing that a bigger keeper with real command of his area would be useful.

So Ireland and Given both linked with exits tonight. If QPR offer anything around 4 million for Given, I would snap their hands off and sign a couple of the free keepers this summer, starting with Kusczack from United, or even that Guzan fella.

As for Ireland not being wanted by Lambert according to the mirror, it would be a shame as he is a talented boy, but his wages are astronomical. I would imagine, for the 2 players wages, you could probably bring in 5.

I think the club would be tempted by a decent offer for Given. I think the story about Ireland is completely made up though. We are not selling our player of the year for £4m. That really is such a crap rag.

As for a new keeper I'd take advantage of the noses and pluck Foster from them on the cheap. I'd like Ruddy but he'd be a lot more expensive right now.
