I suppose there's a Holte connection with Holt isn't there? Anyway, last i heard on R5 Norwich had flatly rejected said request. I wonder who's tapping him up!

Probably some bloke with a twitchy face, cockney accent, bit of a wanker, perhaps, even, crooked?

I like Holt a lot, 16 goals is not bad going for his first season up in the Prem. I did'nt realise he was 31 though.

Probably could get 22 year old Jordan Rhodes for a lot cheaper than Holt.  Read a report saying Fulham are lining up a £3.5m bid for Rhodes this summer, whereas I think Holt would probably be £5m + after the season he has had.

Rhodes is a gamble I wish we'd take. And Butterfield from Barnsley.

Holt, like Heskey but can score...

Score, trap a ball, stay on his feet, pass to a teammate, find good positions....a kind of Unheskey.

Rhodes is an interesting one. It would be a gamble that could either work well or he could be the next Beckford.

He is the Anti-Heskey.

Been banging on about Rhodes for a couple of years now. Worth a punt.

I was just providing a short hand of why we would be better off with Holt, thanks for fleshing it out for me. =D

I would also like to sign Rhodes, there is far more of a future in him, but do we need another inexperienced striker?  I'd argue that a bit of strength and knowledge is what we lack at this time, we have nobody to hang the ball on, and no one to prod buttock, so there is a good case for a player of Holt's talents.

I reckon MON's Sunderland are after Holt. They will team him up with Heskey.

Phillips and Ince both look good at Blackpool. Phillips is perhaps the better player.

Liked the look of both today. They both looked good against Blues as well. Perhaps worth a punt on one of them.

Everton clearly thought so.
