I don't know if he's good or bad, but we've hardly unearthed any gems have we?
Well we were supposedly  nailed on to get Cabaye It's not his fault we employed a shite manager who didn't want him
I'm presuming he's scouted Holman and Bas Dost too

He said that he might have joined had Houllier stayed, but he also said this direct quote:

"The only person I spoke to on the phone was Alan Pardew, and I really liked what he had to say".

Which suggests it wasn't exactly all that cut and dried.

This could mean our midfielf problems are sorted!

Sunday Mirror

West Brom, Aston Villa and Stoke City are keeping tabs on 25-year-old midfielder Jamie O'Hara's future if Wolves fail to win their Premier League survival fight.
Jesus Mohammed Moses that is all we need. The man who in his first full season with Wolves is  partially responsible for their relegation. But I guess he is McLeish standard.

Fair enough.I do like the look of Holman and I would be delighted if we landed Dost. I'm just happy were looking outside these shores

I like O'Hara, but he is injured most of the time, and seems to have gone backwards since signing for Wolves long term.

I think it says it all about how far we have fallen that we don't get successful managers to give up being successful managers and take up scouting for us.

I imagine Arthur Numan is doing the Dutch and surrounding areas scouting.

It is insulting isn't it. The days when Fergie used to give up his saturday job to scout croatia and unearth talent like Balaban are long gone.

Well that F in moron would be better of scouting he local Darby& Joan club and for taking advice from another failed moron like Roeder think we could do better with curly larry and mo.

On what basis do you think Roeder is a bad scout?

Very odd. A poor manager can make a great coach or scout, look at thescout at Newcastle, managed the mighty Northampton town, but appears to be a decent enough scout.

Remember when Roeder did that match scouting for us last season and the abuse he got?

Yes, and seem to recall not understanding it then. It is scouting, NOT managing the first team. Brian Kidd was a woeful manager but is regarded as one of the very top coaches in the game, should he not get a coaching job on the back of him being a poor manager?

It proved to me that some on here would use anything to have a go at the club.

So what does the chief scout do then? I would say he has the final say on players

Just watched Celtic lose and Hooper is completely wasted on them.

We could have the best scout in the world, who could find us the next Lionel Messi but he'll still be coached by Peter Grant.  Does anyone know how this bloke keeps a job in the top league?

He has Lerner tied up in his basement, that is why we never hear from him too!
