Domestic based players I'd like us to be looking at: Steven Fletcher, Clyne, Zaha, Henri Lansbury, Jordi Gomez, Hoilett.

Jordi Gomez isn't great, Holliet will end up at a top 6 club or good one abroad, Clyne is the sort I want and McLeish did bid for him at SHA which is usually an indication, I like lansbury but he can't even get in the West Ham team, Zaha is a bit overhyped imo, similar to Victor Moses in he has loads of tricks but dosen't score very much.

Fletcher an Matt Jarvis are two I'd be looking at, I think they're both decent and would improve the team.

Never seen anything from Jarvis, and Fletcher is too much like Bent for me. Both would be over priced and end up being no more than squad players, better, cheaper versions must be available.

I'd have Jarvis, Fletcher and Kightley from the Wolves. We lack a bit of choice on wide players when N'Zog is'nt fit/in form, both of them are good wingers.

Would'nt mind Huth either, and i would keep my eye on Hanley at Bburn, and the young lad at Cardiff as CH.

Central midfield, we need a Sandro kind of player imho.

 LB....god knows.

  You don't rate him?

I do, but i did say a Sandro kind of player, personally i would have Capoue if we can afford him.

I see Bent for Carroll is beginning to resurface.  Sunday Supplement mentioning Bent to Liverpool.  I honestly can't see why Carroll would want to come to Villa at the moment, unless we offer huge wages to sweeten any deal.  I wonder if Livepool have any other players that we'd realistically be interested in, if a swap in actually on the cards.

That said.  If I was the Manager, I would not sell Darren Bent.

Carrolls a one trick pony.If Bent goes then i would sign 2 strikers, a young up and coming like Rhodes/Rodirugez(Burnley , and a striker for about £10/12m......but not Carroll.

I don't think we'll see any big time charlies at VP any time soon, least of all Carroll. If anything Bent will go for cash. The laughable thing about the Liverpool situation is that their players aren't bad, it's the expectation of the media and fans that hinders them. Hodgson should have been given more time and the club shouldn't  have allowed the fans, media and KK himself to blackmail them into making KK manager again.

I think we'll spend a bit more than some people think.Maybe not big names, but hopefully up and coming names.I would expect Numan to recommend a few players, and maybe one or two more well known players.

We need to use Noooocastle as an example, and sign Tiote/Cabaye kind of players.Maybe GH owes us big time, and can use his influence to get some French gems in.

Don't think it will happen BLF.
Word is, a couple of £2-3m signings and five or six Bosmans.

I'm shivering like a shitting dog in case he brings Keith Fahey here, he loved him when he was at The Dog Shit.

Some of Newcastle's signings weren't bank breakers either - Ba (free), Marveaux (free), Cabaye (£4.3m), Santon (£5m), Tiote (£3.5m), Ben Arfa (£5m). If we could do business like that, I'd be very happy. Surprised but very happy.  Their scout should be on a hell of a bonus this year.

Have heard the Villa owner will "significantly invest again" in #avfc this summer. We need it.Positive news though. #utv

Depends if that investment includes paying off the manager, we really need that.
