Shocking piece. There is nothing in the original Telegraaf article where has says we aren't good. This is what he says "Daar wist ik van. Ik ken de club niet heel goed, maar de interesse is mooi''' - God knows where the crappy translation came from.

Well the other link is from those c***s at Talksport. So enough said I guess, my language is shocking, for this I apologise.

I doubt any player would be that disrespectful to be honest, it may be a lifetime ago but we still have a history.

A new left back has to be a priority.

If I was manager then both full backs would be a priority. I keep hearing about how full backs get more touches of the ball than any other players on the pitch. It seems really important to have full backs who can both attack and defend. This is something that we haven't had since the likes Deleaney. Hutton can look reasonable going forward, or at least shows some endevour, but like Warnock is a liability in defence. For the first goal on Saturday, he was drawn across to double-up with Albrighton and left his man (Gibbs?) free. He is one of McLeish's signings though, so I wouldn't expect him to be replaced as soon as this summer.
When Cuellar plays right back we look more solid, but (slightly) more predictable going forward. Both Warnock and Hutton throw themselves into challenges wrecklessly/ mindlessly.

Like others, I'm hoping McLeish will prove to be better, and more imaginative, in the transfer market than O'Neill was. He will have to be given the paucity of his resources. After all, even O'Leary brought in Laursen and Bouma, and Milner on loan.

As regards a left back, the Dutch press are linking us with Poelsen at AZ.... If that's the case, then McLeish was busy whilst out here.

Looking back, only Baros proved to be a poor signing. Bouma ended up being superb following the Chelsea home game at start of 07, Laursen was a beast, Sorenson just not fancied by Mon, and Milner still feels like he should be ours! Hughes was better than much we have now and has been for Fulham for a long time, Solano was a real bargain, and Berger and Phillips did well, the latter leaving way too soon IMO. Berson, McCann and Djemba Djemba were the worst of them really.

The Swansea LB is a good player, and i was advocating him at the same time that Noooocastle were trying to buy him.

I would still take a look at Taiwo though, who i believe is on a Bosman this summer.Otherwise, if we have any monet i would have a look at Sissokho

Yeah, sell the Monet for some money and buy some players.

Painful, but if McLeish is staying and we buy Burnt Toast, then Bent is pointless, we don't use him properly as it is. We have barely looked capable of scoring without him, but you are not going to fit him, Gabby and another striker up front, and Gabby is unlikely to go as there are such large numbers of fans that would use that as the straw breaking the camels back so to speak.

I'd swap that team for the current one in a heartbeat Only position where its probably weaker is attack and thats debatable

Das Bost is speaking as though he is on the way in the summer.  Unless Barca, Real, Man U or an AC come in for him, it's likely his agent will tell him to come to a club like us.  Whether it's us or a another club like us, who knows?  That's the reality.

Considering the money spent, it is a scary reality though isn't it.
