Have not seen to much of Giroud but from what I've read he is supposed to be quality but I'd still like to keep hold of Charlie, I think he is going to be a good Player for us as long as he gets some confidence.

Well, from the look of him on youtube I'd let him take penalties

Yeah all well and good but Doesnt seem to contribute much to the team

He does have 8 assists on the top of his 28 goals, which is a little bit of a contribution. Narsingh has 19 assists for Heerenveen, but only 10 goals, although not bad for a right winger. We probably could have got both players for the price of N'Zogbia and their combined wages would have been less than his!!

Charlie is more interested in running his mouth than running the wings, sadly.

We knew N'Zog came with a reputation for, eh, being passionate let's say. It was always going to be important to manage him in the right way. He's an explosive player who can strike fear into a defender when on form. It must be frustrating knowing you aren't reaching your full potential because of the role you are being asked to play.

Aston Villa are keen to talk to Manchester United's Ritchie de Laet, who is out of contract in the summer.

I really like Rodgers. I remember seeing a piece in the Guardian about 5 years ago when he was working at Chelsea under Mourinho, detailing his career thus far and he's stuck in my mind since. He's no doubt doing a fantastic job at Swansea and he's a good coach, but I'm sure the philosophy is more of a club one than his own personal one, which he's embraced.

It'd take a while to implement. Swansea were doing it with Martinez and Sousa before Sousa. Considering how quickly some quarters turned on Houllier who started that process (albeit a bit too quickly), I'd not be surprised if it didn't work here.

Hm. Never really got anywhere near looking like he could play for Man Utd, and recall his early season form for Norwich being pretty terrible.

De Laet is not a good player, at Norwich he has been horrible.

JJ: I was one who turned on Houllier, but not because of any possession-based football philosophy, which I'm all for.

As for Rodgers, I don't think it would take him long to implement a better footballing philosophy at the club. They play lovely stuff at every level below the first team already.

Jenas has signed a 1yr extension to his contract so we'll not be signing him  8)

I think I remember reading that Tottenham had exercised the year extension option that he had in his contract.

So it could just as easily be so that they can get a small fee for him rather than him leaving for free.

Shame we’re not being linked with Michael Ballack seems his on a free. That’s the sort of free transfers I wouldn’t mind not De Laet and Guthrie but I suppose beggars can’t be choosers.

Are Rodallega and Figueroa both available on free’s at the end of the season, two decent players I wouldn’t mind seeing come in.
