I was in Hamburg the night Olic ripped us apart. Maybe a bit of a Luc Nilis style signing, and could be a masterstroke. Injury prone forwards with lots of talent can be useful, even if only in 25 games a season or so.

He'll be lucky to play 25 games in 3 years!

I wonder how many decent Bosman's there are this season? I'm sure there's a website with contract expiry dates on it.  I also wonder if this is McLeish trying to be clever by letting the fans know that we are skint, so stop having a go, have a go at Lerner instead. How very exciting that we are in the marker for the better Bosman signings.

Ivica who? 32?  Crocked?  Oooh, goodie, yes please!!

He's a very good player, but injuries would be a concern.

Some of the replies on this thread sound similar to when we were about to sign Keane.

Flamini and Muntari are names that crop up less and less in the transfer speculation threads.

An acceptance of our current standing?  Or are they yesterday's men?

There's a name in that Genoa list we should be interested in.

Villa legend.

I see SHA legend 'The Rifle' is on there.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy might be worth a look?

Toquero at Bilbao, Hedwidges Maduro at Valencia and Andre Castro at Gijon look like some of the standout names in that lot   (Van Horseyboy and Kanoute are knocking on a bit now and none of the Barcelona lot would be realistic anyway).

Petrov going to be replace by Flamini and Muntari would not be a bad thing. Flamini is good quality in the premier league and exactly what we need at the moment. A young central midfield player who can get his foot in is important too though for me. Maybe the lad at Boro if they don't get up.
