Hmm, I'm surprised with posters declaring WIgan as the new Barcelona (slight over-exageration for poetic effect).  They look CHampionship bound to me.  We've had one gilt-edged chance that Bent didn't score.  Keane is the best player on the pitch.

Relegation 6 pointers are never pretty affairs....

The only positive from that is hopefully we've got the crap 45 minutes out the way and second half we'll turn up.
Don't hold your breath.

Been away for a couple of weeks. See not much as changed. McLeish is out of his depth. I cannot even be bothered to access the links to watch the match. So depressing.

VILLA: Given, Hutton, Collins, Cuellar, Warnock, Albrighton, Bannan, Gardner, Agbonlahor, Bent, Keane.

Who sits in front of the back four and provides the link up play from deep ?

Well ?

Quite.

I reckon Bannan and Gardner have touched the ball 5 or 6 times between them.

Here's hoping things don't have to get much worse before they start to get better....

My oh my this is dire. Struggling to stay awake here. Positives, look quite tight at the back today. Back to sleep.

Another transitional performance, ie total fukin shambles. And our management team are taking trips to watch American football coaching the week before. What a complete embarrassment.

to be fair, hoofing the ball away up field is a tactic they use in american football so maybe that's the bit he came back with...

Paul AVFC: Great play from Baz Bannan down the left. Good ball in. Cleared. At the other end great tackle from Alan Hutton. Hutts has been man of the match for me so far.

Think we look tight at the back because Wigan have got no cutting edge.

Need to bring on N'Zogbia for Albrighton and Ireland for Bannan. If that means bringing on Herd for Gardner, so be it.
