Bit soft in the centre but its certainly an attacking line-up. They need to win though or I get the impression McLeish will feel justified in selecting tumbling bear next time.

I told you he would start Warnock again when we're playing away.

But of course people flamed me saying I was negative. No, I was just realistic.

Huge relief Heskey's not playing and great to see Gabby back. Looks a bit lightweight midfield but Wigan aren't too physical there so should be OK. Have to say (apart from the fullbacks but no real cover there so OK) I like that line up.

Let's be fair - Bannan and Gardner in midfield! That's good.

Afternoon gents.

Bloody hell, interesting midfield. It looks a little light in the middle but at least these guys know how to keep the ball and pass.
Possibly the most attacking side we've put out all season, AM is really going for the 3 points.

Come on Villa!

That's the point, people will give him much more of a chance if he sets out to attack. I'm a little surprised there's no Petrov, Ireland or N'Zog but I asked him to attack so I can't complain.

Presume Stan's injured as he's not on the bench?

Petrov injured?

There isn't a tackle in that midfield. At least it should be entertaining.

Come on you Villa boys.  That team has the potential to play excellent football, though I may have started with Ireland instead of Bannan (if im being picky).  I'm actually looking forward to the game now.
