The commentary just goes:

(Man City player) plays the ball in, (Villa player) clears the ball, (Man City player) collects...repeat...

We have attacking options, but McLeish refuses to use them. How can Ireland still be on the bench after his recent form?

Of course we have attacking options.

The fact Heskey is in midfield whilst Stephen Ireland and Charles N'Zogbia are on the bench says everything you need to know about McLeish, and if the media took the fucking blinkers off for a few moments, they might realise that that, and not his Small Heath connections, is why the guy is short of support.
They won't though, it's just easy to spout bollocks.

It's watching shit like this that makes me glad I can no longer afford to go.

Just think, if you bought about 120 season tickets, you could pay the Tumbling Bear's wages for a week.

Fuck me. It's like being on life support waiting to die. Death has been held up at the checkout at Tesco's and will be here as soon as he can.

Heskey is doing what he's been asked to do and isn't doing it badly. Too easy a target these days I'm afraid for people who need to stick the boot in somewhere. If you don't want him in the starting line up blame McLeish, but when he's doing ok leave the bugger alone.

They are better than us all over the park but haven't scored yet. We need to hold onto the ball more as a team and I would change the shape a bit.

We will never ever progress if we take this approach at home, I don't care who we are playing. The crowd will not be able to get behind the side if they adopt this 'style'.

Yeah, but largely, people *have* been giving McLeish stick, not Heskey.

City look a little blunt, don't they?

Is Balotelli banned?

Mind you, I'm not sure if even being illegible would be enough to stop him scoring against us.

Possession BBC

Aston Villa 44%
Manchester City 56%

I'd have thought much worseŁ
