One thing I'll give Steve Kean a lot of credit for is that he has given it a go in every game and has been given far less support by the fans than McLeish. They've scored in every away game and in my opinion don't have anything like the talent that we have on our books. This is very very hard to watch, and very, very hard to defend even if like me you a trying to give the bloke every chance possible to succeed.

Possession BBC

Aston Villa 44%
Manchester City 56%

I'd have thought much worse£

The BBC's stats are always utter bobbins.

Even without the re-design, their online sport coverage of late has been awful. Slow as death to update their live commentary blog and constantly showing the wrong scores.

Positives.. we haven't conceded, and we haven't really came close to conceding.

Assuming we become a better attacking side in the second half (as we can't possibly be worse), things are looking okay.

Zzzzzzzz that really was hopeless. Utterly boring and lacking in any quality whatsoever. Midfield has performed exactly as expected - but worse because petrov's distribution has been terrible. Ireland and CNZ need to come on surely? I really hate watching this team most of the time.

that was shite . Man ££tty are playing average and still we havent got a clue and look awful.

Lets hope Ireland and Nzog come on half time and prove a point .

Ireland should have started . Heskey should have been left at home.

I think it will take a city goal for mcleish to change anything. Would probably look to bring Heskey on before someone points out he's already on.

All season, we have adopted a strategy that does not befit a club of our stature. McLeish should have left the small club mentality at St. Andrew's

It's 0-0 versus the champions elect.  I swear people just prefer to moan rather than support the club.

paulie - I agree most are aiming at McLeish but there is still the predictable anti-Heskey bashing and I don't think he deserves it today (he does sometimes!).

Anyway, thankfully it's halftime and we get more news about Suarez, Liverpool and Man Utd. Thank goodness, I was beginning to lose track of it.

Christ, that wasn't too inspiring.

I have no idea what the plan there was, although I suppose if it was 'don't concede' then, somehow, we've managed it. If it was more ambitious than that (and I sincerely hope it was) then it really hasn't worked at all and I really hope hope hope that McLeish will change it around at HT.

For what it's worth I think I'd be inclined to go 4-5-1, and get N'Zogbia on.

The stats say it all again, 2 shots against their 9. We are relying on being lucky or Man City not hitting the target to get anything out of this game. Keane will be glad to go back to LA after this.

Dante, mate, you've utterly missed the point. Most on he would be happy if we really had a go and yet lost to a top side like City 3-2. We wil likely lose 2-0 by never having got out of our half.
