Back Up was filmed on the old GKN site at Smethwick/Winson Green.

My old man, worked at that GJN for 25 years till the early 80s, I had a couple of summer stints there in my uni days in the mid 90s, when was back up filmed there?

Mid-nineties? It was one of those chance things - I drove past the disused loading bay and saw some police vans and other vehicles, wondered what it was all about then thought more of it until I was watching the show a few month later.

Why did Regan go ?

He turned into Morse.  ;)

But not before becoming downtrodden dad Henry in Home to Roost.

Ah, the early days of Channel 4. The Prisoner, St. Elsewhere, basketball from the Villa leisure centre. But that kid from Home To Roost was always a wrong 'un. He was a wrong 'un in Corrie and now he is a wrong 'un in Emmerdale.

Reece Dinsdale. Didn’t he once play a cop infiltrating a football hooligan gang, before becoming a leading football hooligan, sometime in the 80s??

ID. I’m reading the book by the copper who’s story it was based on.

It might be worth reviving this one for the next half hour or so.

Well worth a listen.  All Samaritans leave has been cancelled for the next two days.

How were the South Sudanese callers after their 1-0 defeat by Kenya?

Resigned mood on air tonight. Punctuated by the surreal announcement by Daz that Crystal Palace celebrity fan Neil Morrissey was on the line to talk about the Albion match.

Have I missed something? West Brom are still going down, like the last four months, and SHA are still going to stay up on account of there being a handful of seemingly impossibly poor teams in the Championship every season. Why are their fans getting so restless?

Big fight in Maasai Mara bar with South Sudanese and Kenyan fans. Proper nawty. Two wildebeest and a spotted hyena killed in skirmish.

Jesus wept, tonight’s episode of Royston Vasey local phone in is something else.

All noses calling in sandwiched between Eddie the stripey filth who sounds like he’s about to kick the bucket.

And that blanket Wilford not having a bad word against Eddy. Wonder if he still feels the same after I sent him the link to Eddy's racist diatribe.

The moment he used the word “coloured “, he should have been struck off and banned, ignorance and being of an older generation is no excuse.

Wilford actually defended him, strange that of a BBC delegate.

Wasn't it a worse word than "coloured"?
