Did anyone mention it's because they blatantly broke the embargo they were under and tried to take the piss? Whereas we didn't, the embargo was lifted and we can now sign players. It's that simple and yet they seem to think there's some mass conspiracy.

This.

They're a bizarre bunch, aren't they. I had the misfortune of meeting a bluenose in Tokyo recently. He was wearing full kit in a bar, watching Spurs Newcastle.
Surprisingly, he didn't hate Villa, and admitted that it's pure jealousy in response to my question about why they dislike us with a passion. He said he cringes when he hears all this 'the city is ours', bollocks.
Still, he was wearing full kit, on his own, in a pub.

Of course not.  It was something along the lines of a lot of Blues fans are questioning why there is an embargo on them while Villa have had financial problems and there is talk of players like Bolasie heading to B6.  Tuned in just after Pete the Blues fan had been on which was a shame.

Pete the Bluenose was calling Bruce a dinosaur last night and saying how great Friar was.  He might have a point about Bruce.  But again seems to miss the obvious that they haven't won a game yet and don't look like scoring until Christmas.  Under those circumstances I will take my dinosaur.

Their last 57 attempts on goal have produced a grand total of 0 goals.

To me, that Polly epitomises them. Just a bit sad and embarrassing really, isn’t it ? Bless her, I’m sure she’s somebody’s lovely granny, but I wish she wouldn’t blart on on the radio so much about a lost cause. Try Battersea dogs home Pol !

Tuned in on the way home from the match and to an outsider you would have thought Blues won and Villa hadn't played.

We are fifth, unbeaten and have four times as many points as them. They are without a win in their first four games and only above the relegation places on goal difference. And they are worried about our perceived problems. I suppose it distracts them from the crap state their club is in on and off the pitch.

I caught a bit of old Polly. Her bitternes towards us comes across in her voice. Apparently the league have managed to contrive the opening fixtures giving them 4 tough games and us 4 easy ones just to give us a head start. Bitter AND batty.

I would say Swansea and Boro were potentially tough fixtures but not so much Norwich, Reading and Bolton. Admittedly our fixtures at Hull and Ipswich away are not two of the most daunting away games in this league but Brentford and a newly promoted Wigan side who won the league with 98 points and beat Manchester City to reach the FA cup quarter finals were hardly gimmes.

He also said the reason they hadn’t won yet is “I think they’re trying too hard, son”

He’s 65, 66, 67, you know?

Shorts and socks, although the socks were just blue, rather than official kit.

It was amusing to see, and a little sad.
