Some Villa fang just rang up 'call me franksey' and said two players we should have brought in the summer were Joey Barton and Curtis Davies.

Did anyone bite?

No, I presume most people were just in shock.

I thought 'Dave from Halesowen' was talking a lot of sense until he started banging on about this list of 5 players that would of benefited us.

After he mentioned the likes of Barton and Davies, it made me question everything else he previously was saying. ::)

We do need a bit of steel in the middle of the park though, the amount of runs that go unopposed to the edge of our area pisses me off. That Mahrez the other week, as good a player as he is, just picked the ball up, built up a head of steam and ran 25+ yards before coming in to contact with anyone.

Taking Westwood out would help. His inability to pick up a runner is baffling.

Last Saturday he did a lovely job of watching Coutinho take 3 paces away from him on the edge of the box and pass to the scorer of Liverpool's first...after about 30 seconds ffs!

I love people who write to the mail or phone WM/BRMB and say "We need two players. A Roy Keane type and an Alan Shearer type".

How could you not like the bit where listeners guess the connection between three songs?

Not at all harsh mate, it's dire stuff.  Listening to him covering election night earlier in the year was entertaining though!!
