I remember Mel Eves by name for Wolves but wouldn't recognise him if he walked in and shat on the cat. I couldn't tell you if he was an attacker, defender or substitute.

Bomber Brown was a good player, mind.
Mel Eves played up front alongside John Richards.

Just about to post this. He was quite a decent player for a season or two. Their not quite as good version of what Gary Shaw was for us.

Mel Eves always reminded me of ray Davies form the Kinks

Did any player have a shorter name in terms of number of characters?

A bit of quick Googling suggests the China's eighth highest goalscorer and current captain and star of Qingdao Hainiu is the probable winner.

Ah ok

Yep, that's the winner, who did he play for?

Sorry folks, he's made a typo.

That lot from B9 tried to copy our recruitment policy and signed Ah F'ok from ligue 2.

I've just heard that. Luckily, he's got a former footballer next to him putting him right.

Mr Franks has predictably completely written off Ayew...pretty sure he said the same about Benteke.

Sensible Villa caller at the end...suggested Shane Long would be a good signing for us. I've never been a fan but its actually a good shout...affordable, works his arse off, thrives on balls into the box, capable of doing scoring from outside the box...and wouldn't be able to score against us again.

Just remember that one of the geniuses on there (can't remember if it was Franks or 'Rego') predicted that Benteke would never make a top flight player after his first few games.

Club wins hard fought game at newly promoted club and loses narrowly at home to a Manchester club.

Another draws 0-0 at newly promoted club barely crossing the halfway line and loses dismally at home to a Manchester club.

Of course there can only be one in crisis in WM's eyes.
