A Leicester City fan had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a number of smoke bombs were set off at Aston Villa's home game on Sunday.

Police say three smoke bombs went off in the away concourse, leaving one person requiring medical treatment.

I always pass the away supporters entrance on my way into the ground and the stewards seem to be assiduous in their searching for prohibited projectiles. The rascals must have them well hidden. Then again, Dave W recently posted that one of our lot was arrested on the coach to an away game for  a having a flare in his pants. Damned if I would have incendiary incendiaries next to my main man.

Takes all sorts, I suppose.

Perhaps they could run a phone-in on the topic "would you swap Paul Franks for an informed, unbiased, intelligent football presenter?"

He was public enemy number one on their forum last night. Pulis got the silver and Brunt the bronze. They want Myhill in at the weekend.

Really? on the occasions I've had to watch Albion, Brunt has always been one of their better players. If, perish the thought, I was a Baggie, I'd be looking more closely at Gardner as a scapegoat. For all his tubthumping he's fucking gash at football.
