I tried to get through once I really wanted to abuse the franksy bastard. He's anti villa bollocks was infuriating me, I think that's why he does it. I just don't listen now

They're all Wolves fans at WM I reckon.
Generally speaking I prefer BBC to commercial media, but in the case of local football I prefer Tom Ross. He is out front that he is a bluenose but genuinly backs all our teams, I know he does go on a bit about it at times. I get the impression he has good standing with all the clubs and gets a bit more reliable information from the club.

I used to like listening when Bruce was at the sty. When their report came on from an away game, Bruce would go into the commentary box and would always be panting, as if it was his last breath.

Tom's brother is a diehard Villa fan, of course.

Lee, the Albion fan.

Roight, I'll tell you this about the Albion, Franksy (insert five minute, close to tears, diatribe here). Ta'ra. *slams down phone*

Every pissing week. I'm sure he phones Tom Ross as well.
Is he the one with the high-pitched voice?

That's him. Talks an hundred miles and hours and sounds as if he's going to burst into a sobbing wailing fit.

'Tom eeeeeee's goorra goooooo'.

That's my problem with Tom Ross, he tows the club line. He won't upset the applecart for fear of losing his priveleged access.

There's a young Villa fan that regularly calls the WM phone in. They seem to be about 13 years old and are so passionate about the Villa that it always raises a smile.

Remember that woman who was on when we signed Darren Bent, saying we should have got Kenny Miller on loan?

That was the first time I actually considered the notion that they were paying people to phone up to wind up the audience.

Radio WM are a fantastic locally produced station why do some people seem to think otherwise? The station as a whole give each time a fair share of the airwaves If I am right in thinking they currently air more local games than any other station in the Midlands. The presenters all have their favourite team etc but isn;t that human nature? Mark Regan is a blue nose, Daz Hale a Wolves fan. For christ sake it's a radio station why all the negative moaning?

You're right. Even when we win they have to moan about the crowd, or certain players, or transfers. After the Wolves game you wouldn't have known it was a derby - they only wanted to talk about Wolves.

I listened to the phone in earlier and Paul Franks said this was the most boring Villa team in the most boring Villa season ever. To claim that every game has been boring is just utter shite. We've been involved in some cracking games this season and he knows it.
They seem to be down on everything Villa whilst proclaiming Small Heath as the new Brazil. Every time they mention them they talk of the fantastic football being played down there. Funny that because every time they've been on the box it's been a bore-fest.

When were these cracking games actually played? Are you getting us confused with another team? To quote Franksy it has been shite. I'm taking an objective look on this but cannot agree with you. This has ben a fairly low key almost boring season so far I for one haven't honestly been entertaind so far this season have you? Tell you what If you have any more of those special glasses than turn rubbish into entertainment can I have a pair please.

I'd always thought that there was a direct line between WM and Rampton.

The Wolves game was very good, an exciting Derby won by two cracking goals from Keane.
The Arse game was frustrating because we threw away a 2 goal lead but apart from 20 minutes of defensive madness just after half-time we did well, containing Arse and counter-attacking nicely, we then could have grabbed an equaliser once we settled back into that mode.
Against QPR we were excellent, 70% possession? 20 odd shots on goal? At least two stonewall penalties turned down? If we had won that 6-2 QPR couldn't have complained.

That's what I have been watching, we are getting better, you carry on having a downer on your club (probably, although you'll deny it, because we appointed a Blooz manager), I'll see the positives and enjoy my football thanks.
