Circa November 1986.

Aston Villa 1 - Man Utd 3 (20 mins left)

Aston Villa 3 - Man Utd 3 FT

Remember that, round the time Atkinson got the boot from them.

Yeah, might even have been one of Siralex's first few games.  Gary Thompson scored at the death iirc.

I have fond memories of the 2-2 with Newcastle in January 1996. I remember following it on the radio as a ten year old. It was a great game.

Newcastle went 2-0 up the second coming in controversial circumstances as Shearer seemed to tug Bosnich's shirt causing him to fall over leaving an empty net for Lee Clark.

Yorke pulled one back before half-time and Milosevic got the equaliser around 60 minutes in. It was main game on MOTD and I must have watched my recording of the highlights a hundred times.

2 nil down at home to Stromsgodset.. Gary Charles pulled one back with about 10 minutes to go, then Vassell got two in Injury Time. How I remember that I don't know.

I remember that game. I was 8 and my dad made us leave with about 5 minutes to go. As we got down the steps of the Holte we scored. We raced back up to see Barca kick off only for my dad to again say 'come on then thats it.' Half way down the steps we score again. 2-2. I whinged all the way home. The good news was that my Dad felt so guilty he let me stay up and watch the goals on Sportsnight.

Its the reason why I never ever leave before the end and why I cant understand people that do especially when the games are close

1965/66?  HT Spurs 5 Villa 0
                FT Spurs 5 Villa 5

Not sure if the HT score was correct but the full time score was.
I think Spurs went 4-0 up, we got 1 back then they went to 5-1 from which we pulled it back to 5-5, then Alan Deakin missed a sitter to win it? Scorers Hateley (4) Deakin (1)??

Your recollections re correct Bernie, 5-5 from 5-1 down, Hately(4) and Deakin the scores.

Alan Deakin missed more than a sitter. He chose to roll the ball into an empty net and then immediately turned to celebrate, thus enabling  Spurs defender to get back and clear before it crossed the line.

2 nil down at half time at Spurs.

Dublin scoring an overhead kick........

Get back ok yesterday, Si?

we ended up in a pub in Angel, very very depressed

1966 5-1 down to Spurs away after 59mins then Hateley took them apart scored FOUR to bring it back to 5-5 and just before the final whistle Mike Tindall missed a sitter to make it 6-5 to us!!

1978 Ian - the UEFA being our reward for winning the League Cup the previous season.

A great game, and Cruyff was immense, but sending Allan Evans up front got us out of jail in the last 5 minutes. I also remember a very weird chant from a group up the Holte of "You'll get a bunion on your Spanish onion if you're wanking tonight". Interpret that, if you will....

There was another game at Arsenal we were losing 1-0 with about 5 minutes left. We got 2 in the last 5 minutes. Think Dean Saunders got one.
