I take back what I said about Keane, he did the business, a bloke who can actually shoot from outside the box. I cant help thinking if Frimpong had stayed and they had 11 it would have been a fifferent result

The first ten minutes and the second half were bright. The Frimpong exit and Henry sending off obviously helped matters, but Keane's emphatic finish proves his worth. A lot of favorable results in the table today also.

Cracking game of football, even if the quality was decidedly iffy. Villa were poor for most of the first half, but the change at half time steadied things, and the (deserved) red card swung it our way.

The defending for both their goals was dreadful, but Keane's two brilliant class strikes won it.

Oh, forgot, what an excellent debut for Gary Gardner.

Theirs only one Keano!

To be honest i thought it was a poor signing and hes not the greatest passer but what he does do is create a goal out of nothing and shoot at the slightest opportunity. We haven't got that in our team which would really make a difference playing at home

Keane certainly has a decent footballing brain. Quality still and a shame he is not here very long.

Our defence does worry me so much but they held together well for the last 10 when needed. Why can they not be that solid for a whole match.

Great win, not a great performance.

Top win.

Albrighton played very well, Bent and him need more chemistry.

Keano - what a 2nd goal.

Can't see why some are being so negative. That was a proper 'derby' game and people are foolish if they thought we'd stroll to a 3-0. Thought the back two were brilliant and won so many headers especially in the second half. First half was a mixed bag with Gabby esp[ecially disappointing but we dominated second half and probably should've put it to bed in the closing minutes with a bit more composure. Keane has proved all the doubters who spouted crap on the other thread wrong, it was always going to be a risk free gamble and it's just paid off.

Oh, forgot, what an excellent debut for Gary Gardner.

Yeah, he looked assured didn't he.  Shame he didn't put that header in, it would've capped an impressive debut.

Special mention for Keane too, brilliant finishes.

Clark and Gardner should be given a few games in centre midfield to show what they can do. If they make a couple of mistakes against QPR next week, who cares, just give them some matches together.

Overall though, we could probably of lost that as we did win it. We're still shit, but there are, fortunately, teams who are more shit than us.

In fact, I'd argue that everyone from 6th down are shit - just some are shitter than others.

Thanks Mr Henry and, most of all, thank-you Robbie Keane!

Anybody want to join me in a AM's post-match press conference drinking game?
Every time a phrase is mentioned, drink accordingly:

'Grit' - 1 shot
'Character' - 1 shot
'Mental toughness' - 2 shots
'We showed real physicality' - 2 shots
'We really missed emile's creative dynamism today, and anyway he's better than Messi'- Entire bottle of tequila

Clark is such a composed figure in midfield.  I don't think he'll ever grab the headlines but he is such a good base to build a team around.  His positioning and passing makes everyone else play better.

Won the last 4/5 away games lost 4/5 home games! On that I bet we beat Arsnal and then lose to QPR
