I don't think it's been mentioned that next week Shaun is having what he's matter of factly called "a bone graft followed by a back fusion and then two steel rods fitted" which will be followed by about six months rehab.

That's what I thought, especially with the way he played and the length of his career. Hope he's OK.

Going off at a slight tangent I read tonight that footballers are 1,000 times more likely to suffer from osteoporosis than any other occupation. That's something to remember when we complain about their wages.
