As a player he isn't good enough, which I think we all know, but I think a 'countdown' is unfair. Such treatment should be reserved for players who have taken the piss, not tried and sat around waiting for their wages - pretty much Stephen ireland up until a couple of weeks ago. Heskey has done what has been asked of him as best he could, so while I don't want him to be given an extension I do wish him well for the future.
I was thrilled when we signed Fashanu. But that's because I was more interested in Gladiators at that age than I was interested in football.

At least he is trying for the team and not being a Habib Beye. Like I said in my post, he probably is a nice bloke but isn't good enough to take us forward. I feel sorry for him especially with the amount of abuse he gets.
Maybe Pete Colly is going to be there as the club are unveiling the new bronze statue of Emile outside the Trinity Road Stand to celebrate his record breaking goalscoring record.
But I still can't wait until he is gone. Maybe we can con someone into buying him in his last 6 months by linking him to a return to 'pool.
