I'll probably get lambasted for this but i actually quite like claridge as a pundits.  For one thing he does his research unlike the hansen who's been going through the motions for years or shearer who has to be the most bland and anodyne man ever let loose on motd.  What riles me most though is the BBC editorial policy putting up with the second rate job that is done. There is room for a moredetailed analysis show where pundits could argue the toss about things for hours and we could see If they do know what they're talking about.

I quite like Calaridge too but was always too embarrassed to admit.

If we're doing embarassing confessions, then I must say I think Lee Dixon is probably MOTD's best pundit right now.  Always seems to talk sense and doesn't fall into the "always talk up my old club" trap.

Ex Man Ure player, he must know what he's talking about ;)

We aren't going to win the league, but we aren't getting relegated, that's where we are, whether that twat likes it or not.

On the same theme, I think both Danny Mills and Ray Parlour are quite good too...

To be fair Savage doesn't exactly predict us to go down, he just says that he thinks Wigan might be ok and another team might get dragged into it. Apparently 'an' Aston Villa or 'a' Fulham might get dragged into it.

I like Claridge cos he's a real football man and loves the game, and is just as enthusiastic about a non-league game as a Premiership one, but his actual analysis of the game (which he's paid for) is pretty bad, I can see why people don't like him.

MOTD would be much better if they mixed it up every week instead of always having Hansen, and usually Shearer on.

Another vote for not minding Lee Dixon. I can't stand She-Ra when he's on, which seems to be most weeks.

Just someone else who has outrageous opinions every week, to a deadline, for money.

I know he is not on the BBC, but the worst TV pundit of all has to be Gary Neville on SKY's Monday Night Football, as drab and dreary as the Manchester weather and not a clue what he is doing or saying.

As much as it pains me, I actually think Gary Neville is a decent pundit and does seem to konw what he's talking about.

I'd agree with that.
