I have just clarified that these horrible banners are used to hit the president with fines.
I am not completely  stupid, I would have noticed if there were problems of racism in the club that I follow since 40 years!

Maybe it is a difference in interpretation, but do you think doing it to hit the president with fines is an acceptable reason to make racist chants?

Is it fuck. I would never pretend to be a racist just to upset someone, no matter how much I hated them. I believe any non-racist would say the same. Sorry, that excuse doesn't wash.

It is still racist chanting.

I think that if one doesn't share the racial theories  and songs only  to hit the president he is a stupid but not a racist.
Anyhow, even if we assume that the majority of Lazio ultras are fascists, all the other fans and - above all -  the Lazio President is and has always been against them, so you can't say that the club in itself is racist: http://roma.repubblica.it/dettaglio/il-presidente-laziale-lotito-cosi-ho-rotto-con-gli-ultras/1510350

I already said I accept the club is trying to do something about it, i just can not accept that the problem doesn't exist or the explanation that it's stupid but not racist to wave banners about Auschwitz. That is no defence at all.

Exactly.

It's like me hating the black guy next door so shouting abuse at him, calling him a "stupid fucking nigger" (and that banner is on that level of offensiveness), then saying "it's not racist, because I don't adhere to racial theory, i was just saying it to get at him".

It is entirely racist.

I know and I admit that my English is poor, but I hoped to have at least clarified that:
1 - I absolutely don't justify these banners;
2 - only a minority of Lazio fans are involved in racist chants and banners, and they all belong to the so said Ultras;
3 - the club in itself, its officials,  and the wide majority of fans has nothing to do with (and are 100% against) racism.

If after two pages off topic there is  not a consensus about this, I definitely give up.
Think what you want.

But it's not a tractor, is a Harley 883, no possible comparison wuth a Bonneville

I think we agree, although probably not for the same reasons! But why do you think they cannot be compared? Both relatively slow twins, upright riding position, no fairing and similar price. Here's an (American) site comparing the two and a Honda.

As to the rest of it, others have expressed it better than I could, but although the ultras may be a minority they dominate an outsider's view of the club. You can't get upset that this view is such a dim one.

Right, just back from Nuremburg wearing my Lazio shirt, on the way had a photo taken at Auschwitz..... Oh hang on my fondness for Lazio grew from watching Gazza and Pepe Signori on C4 in the 90s, not the fact that Mussolini was seen as a hero for the Irriducible.
Football in Italy is very political which is unfortunate but as with hooliganism in England not all fans should be tarnished with the same brush.
Nice kits though!

Only on here could we start off wondering what the collar would look like and end up debating the rights and wrongs of the pre/post-war Nazi movement.  Fantastic.

Perhaps the ultras were just being ironically racist, like John Terry.

Anyway, I like the lack of collar on the away kit.

I see the new kit is now on sale in Sports Soccer in Merry Hill. Good old Mike Ashley got it in the end.

Racism & Lazio aside...

Got my new shirt on Tuesday (after purchasing it I was told it would be a birthday present so had to wait over a month - bastards!) and I've pretty much worn it since (apart from at work).

I must say, I think it is fan-tiddly-tastic. The quality is fabulous, it looks smart (even my WBA-supporting fiancee likes it) and it's comfortable to wear (albeit a bit long).

In regards to the colour of the sleeves - there is a great different between last seasons and this seasons shade. It is much more 'sky' blue this time around.

I will take a photo later to keep the debate going.
