Yep, it's a huge relief

So if I go into Sports World in Birmingham City Centre in July will I see a Villa shirt there alongside all the Sky 4 shirts?

More on the kit

Home and Away unveiled on 16th/17th June. Home out the same day and away can be pre-ordered

Home will keep with tradition,  Away will be based on the Latest fashion and trends

Range of products gone from 25 to over 100

Macron willingness to make us they flagship team swung it over 10-12 other makers

I reckon the checks will be on the home kit only.

I hope they really do what they said they would and take supporters into consideration. The home kit needs to truly traditional. Some of the kits Marshall put together are brilliant and they could do a lot worse than looking at some of those. Those are traditional and it would bring back some good feeling amongst fans if the kits can relate back to some of our great days. Retro with a modern twist so to speak. I can like with a bit of variety for our away kit. Something different, and maybe a tradtional white or yellow third.

What is most important is that the fans don't get fucked around with the launch date and the quality. Nike treated us like bollocks in that regard. For Macron this is the first proper foray into English football's elite (West Ham aren't proper elite, we are). They won't want to mess this up. It's a big deal for them in growing their brand.

"It's fair to say they'll be doing a great deal for us. They are extending the range from 25 products to well in excess of 100. That's everything dual branded - Villa and Macron - real bespoke claret and blue products, from footballs to shinguards, wristbands to captain armbands, everything really.

"These will be exclusive to Villa. These are finer details we've never had before. It's an exciting new venture because this is going to be exclusive to Aston Villa."

People would really have rather stayed with Nike?

Crazy.

They seem to have at least one very important quality that Nike lacked (for us) - enthusiasm.

Do you think they'll re-issue the "fibre filled cat igloos" that used to be on sale in The Village? They stopped selling them when we hooked up with Nike

You wouldn't have to walk far to their nearest store either: Macron in Chelmsley.

All very positive statements coming from the club and increasing the product range so far is very impressive. Looking forward to seeing the final designs.

For sure marshall, and the ones you've made, in my opinion are all very nice in their own way with a number of them being superb. If they have consulted fans that have an understanding of who we are then one would hope they will get something most of us will like.
