You can only get so enthusiastic about a manager with a recent relegation on his CV. The players at his disposal at Blues last season weren't world beaters, but not worse than those at Wigan or Wolves. Add to the relegation that his team probably was the least entertaining in the whole Premiership.

How do you think those other clubs would have contended with a cup win to distract them? My Nose mates say the cup run and losing  Dann meant they ran out of steam and didn't have the squad depth to be able to change things around. All of them, however, said that it was a price worth paying for their first major trophy. You also have to factor in what a shambles they were off the pitch.

They do agree about a lot of the football played, some entirely blame the manager others say it wasn't all bad and that he hat to cut his cloth accordingly.

The club and fans need to pull together, particularly in times of adversity. McLeish may have not been anybodys first choice as manager but he was Randy's, and neither of them are going anywhere soon so we have to stay as one. We've had a mixed season so far but surely it was unrealistic to expect anything else given the transfer policy in the summer. Despite the discontent, we're tenth and far from being in crisis. Back the boys, back the club.

If we lose to Bolton however, I reserve the right to edit this post!  >:(

The problem though Dick is to back them when you feel ashamed of them.

Not happy with Mcleish but we have got to stay united. Blackburn have showed going against your manager whatever the result does not work and merely gives the press more shit to shovel ......

Ok, I was just trying to appear balanced and reasonable, but I'll admit: he's pretty crap.
Bandwagon here you come.

There is no justification for going against McLeish. He has passion for the club and deserves success. Todays performance showed the players are working for him.

Is it really?  Another win against a crap team doesn't change the fact that he's a bad manager.

What's to be patient about?  Is there any sign that Lerner and McLeish are suddenly going to stop being the complete opposite of a dream combination?

4 wins in 15? That is a dismal record.

I reckon a couple of us off here could do it. In fact I reckon I would make a good number 2. Need a number 1, and we will be well away, although I may be urging wheeling and dealing on a Barry Fry scale.
